Our New Year has gently flown in on gossamer wings, and in the background I can now begin to hear the flight song of a flock as it signals the first heartbeat of what is about to be our most exciting year ever.

As is usual this time of year, we found ourselves in a bit of a lull in December as all the preparations and building excitement for the holiday season encircled us from every angle.  Everyone’s minds turn to our families and friends as we pause and enjoy time and the makings of the season together.  Once this all passes, what is next?  What treasures does the New Year hold in secret for us all?

We started our 2015 working on one of our very favorite projects, “The Anglican Church Project“.  Plans were crafted late in the year, and on Saturday, January 3rd we found ourselves headed for the ferries to travel across to one of our outlying islands, Salt Spring Island, where 3 Anglican Churches awaited us.  We arrived at the Crofton ferry terminal early in the morning, determined to catch the first boat over.  The light of day was just making its appearance, and with it came a harbinger of all that is about to unfold in 2015.  A year of hope, a year of excitement, a year filled with new adventures we have yet to fully appreciate.

The stillness of the morning surrounded us, permeating the air with a sense of silence you could almost hear; it was truly palpable.  Mrs. Toad and I sat in our new truck awaiting the instructions to load up on the boat for the journey, and in that very moment we knew we were excited and looking forward to the New Year, but the details were hazy at best.

In the past few weeks, much of this is now coming into clear focus for us.  We are working very hard to now ready for our new Wedding Photography Services we are about to launch here at Toad Hollow Photography.  The next few weeks will fly by in a blur as we create and get our printing and promotional materials ready for the Modern Bride Show on February 7th here in Victoria, BC.  We are very excited and honored to have a chance to share in people’s special day, as they pledge their undying love for each other and look forward to a lifetime of experiences and memories.  This is something we take very seriously, and we are looking forward to bringing a level of professionalism and passion to the practice that will help make these special days last forever for our clients.

So, please join us as we revel in the building excitement of all that 2015 has in store.  We truly hope that our love for photography is mirrored in your life, and that you find yourself looking forward to the New Year and all it will bring.  Thank you all for everything, for none of this would have come true without all your support and encouragement over the years.  We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

You are going into wedding photography. That’s splendid. But your time for those photo journeys, will become cramped, right? I’m sure, however, you will do a splendid job with your new side job. Have fun!/Joyfulgozo
