I found myself very busy yesterday which severely impacted on my ability to pursue my first love, photography. As I was hopping about doing errands and odds and ends, I came upon one of my favorite photography subjects. I’ve really wanted to produce a new HDR panoramic image suitable for murals lately, and this was the perfect opportunity. The Gorge Inlet in Victoria is a long arm of water that meanders its way through pretty much the entire west end of the city. The homes that pepper the water line are some of the more interesting and beautiful homes.
This home is now the headquarters of the Victoria Canoe and Kayak Club. This not-for-profit organization supports canoeing, dragon boating, outrigger canoeing, sea kayaking, voyageur canoeing and marathon canoeing. I’ve always been fascinated by the silhouette this old home casts upon the Gorge as I drive by it and really enjoyed capturing these brackets and processing this new panorama.
