As the Christmas season approaches, the city becomes still. As is typical for our area, we are going to have another Christmas without snow. Fewer people are on the roads in the morning and except for the hustle and bustle of last minute shoppers, the entire area turns quiet as most are at home with friends and family. This will be our last photographic blog entry before Christmas, as my wife and I are taking off in the morning for a few days to the resort we went to on our honeymoon.
Today’s photos may not be Christmas themed, I have to admit there are fewer homes and businesses decorated this year than any other year I can remember, but they are intended to be gifts to you, our visitors.
These HDR images were captured yesterday as I walked through an older area of town that is replete with classic character homes that I love so much. You could sense that most of the homes on the street were filled with happy families preparing for Christmas.
As I was post processing these images last night with my wife we were discussing key points of interest in each of the photos we have posted here for you today. I have a strong love for our local architecture and the character that is evident in many of the older homes. This is something that my lens just can’t resist.
We captured 5 new HDR images in this set, all are available on our online gallery.
We hope that we’ve managed to capture a little of the character and flavor that is our local playground. We hope that everyone has a great Christmas filled with love and joy and we look forward to being with you all early next week again when we return from our brief getaway.
