My love of local history and architecture is fueled by sites like this.  This is the Old Stone Butter Church, which is rich in history in our area on Vancouver Island.  The church is long abandoned and now sits atop a hill overlooking a beautiful mountain that meanders down to the sea-shore.  This particular shoot was done in B&W to accentuate the contrast and details, and to add a serious amount of drama to the scene.

This wonderful old building is now located in the middle of a native reservation, and is long forgotten by many.  Rumor has it that the local youngsters come by the church on the weekends to party, and many have stories of being chased away by ghosts.  There is no doubt, when you enter the church, you most definitely feel some form of a presence there with you.
